Pretty good!

I like the game, it's simple and easy to get into, the jumps get challenging in some areas. Overall it's very nice. There seems to be a few glitches in the game still, for instance on the level where the disappearing striped platforms first appear, if you jump off the first spring and hold left the entire time you can jump out of the level.

One thing that bugs me about this game, You should make it so I can press "X" to go to the next level instead of making me click a button with my mouse. The game doesn't use the mouse, don't make my hands leave the keyboard every level :)

Scorpiastudios responds:

When the level ends; press enter. That sends you to the next level as well. =P

Your controls are horrible.

Just a quick question, were you born with your hands sideways, or did you just recently have both your wrists broken? I realize you wanted the button positions to correspond with the game screens, but all the controls should have been spread over a single row of the keyboard, not grouped all together in the middle.

Constant interruption

I would like this game better if it didn't feel like it was bugging me every 3 seconds. I pick up a couple random items while killing zombies, BAM I'm on a new screen, not controlling my character and looking at some home made gun. I pick up the keys to the car, and I have to click a button to proceed, nevermind the fact that I'm in a firefight and clicking the button throws my aim off.

Also, I don't know why, but I was expecting an auto switch on weapons when one runs out of ammo. Maybe it's because I pick up these random items, then suddenly I'm equipped and shooting a new gun that I may or may not want to actually use over what I had pulled out (I died once on my first time thru because the flame thrower auto equipped while I was shooting at a zombie)

Meh,

A lot of the game can be completed by simply staying in one place and jamming on the space bar. Also, it's very annoying that after everytime I die it asks if I want to continue. Of course I want to continue, I've got 7 more lives! Why do I have to take my hands off the controls and click a button, instead of just playing a death animation and going into the next life?

Bugs bugs bugs bugs...

Um.. you know instead of just announcing these glitches, you should probably fix them. I find that I die so often in this game due to glitches and bugs more than anything. It's enjoyable, but I'm not going to try and play 1113 seconds without jumping to the right...

huh...

I don't know if it's borked code, or if you intended it this way, but if the eggs worked on the third level I would rate a much higher score.

Overall the game is good, I love the music, the first two levels were really fun. The third level was fun, with great music... the first couple of times thru. Repetition=BORING, and since this is a game where any hit kills you, it gets very, very repetitive.

Don't get me wrong, graphics, music, controls is all A++. The game is challenging, and unique. But me as a player, I don't want to play the same level, or do the same thing over and over and OVER and OVER AND OVER again. I'll admit, I didn't beat the game. I haven't seen the ending, nor will I ever because I won't play this damn thing anymore. It's no longer fun for me, and that's the absolute most important feature of any game.

@catfriedrice: Do you think Nintendo wouldn't have included a save feature had the technology been more readily available? Those old NES carts needed to have a battery inside to save data, and those didn't start getting added to carts until Zelda came out (I believe, don't quote me). Just about every Mario game after the SNES has a save feature. A limit in technology is one thing. Purposely limiting a game, then saying it's a "feature" or "gaming element" is asinine.

Final score: 3/5

Awesome Game!

I've liked this series since the first one, keep 'em coming :) Took me 2 go thrus but I got all the medals, go me. Awesome job man!

It's a tetris remake with an annoying flaw

If you play the regular tetris, you'll notice that there is a split second after a block lands that allows you to slide the block left or right. Your version is missing this, and I think this is a crucial element for strategy. It's a solid remake, but not interesting, you could have done something with the graphics, maybe tried to add a few new modes or something.

Awesome

You are a genius! That is the perfect way to add violence to tetris :)

If you do make an english version (not that it matters) maybe you can try adding another scream sound or 2? Listening to the same one over and over every time you make a line does get old.

It was OK

I'm giving it an average score because it's just another bejeweled clone. It's solid and it plays well though.
